Issue #109. December 20th, 2020

I wish to send you all greetings of the holiday season and to thank you for your support over the years, I would not have enjoyed the past 25 year so much without you. I will miss getting to say hi to you at show, to answering your questions on the phone or through email.  I am going to keep my phone number, the web site and have plans to make and sell needle holders etc. I have a closet full of fabric that I have bought to do that but have not had the time. Maybe I will have time in the new year when I get moved and settled in. Lot of changes going on this my 80th year, closing the business, moving from a house and big gardens to a high rise apartment. Big changes for Dego who will become an indoor cat after many years of having a neighbourhood to roam, he is known by almost every house on the street as he visits them regularly. I have told him but I don't think he gets it.
I has been a month since my last newsnote. I have spent most of the time looking at apartments and houses on line and with covid restrictions making arrangements to actual get to see them. Made my final decision today. I am renting an apartment down by the Hamilton Harbour and my view from my balcony includes across the city and up the escarpment, out over the bay including the yacht club and across to Burlington. That view from my balcony will help deal with not seeing my pool and flowers and trees in my backyard.  Now I have to downsize in a big way, All the store inventory, office equipment and supplies, my larger pieces of furniture, and all the garden equipment and furniture have to be sold and quickly.
I have added yarn to the yarn by the lot, as well as yarn from my personal stash  it is up to 3 full pages, and un-dyed yarns. I will  get the rest of the yarn listed as soon as I can.  I also updated two pages of samples, the summer and winter sweaters, vests, tops, etc. Don't forget to check out the books still lots left and they are already 50% off plus todays additional  5% off.  The last and previous months newsnotes are available online if you missed them or just want to re-check something.
Special deal  - until everything is gone I will take another 15% off your total order (not postage)

I still have some wonderful colourways in the Adele art yarn balls. The cowl is so simple and quick to knit up and make a unique 'one of a kind' gift for Christmas that is inexpensive. Also a ball and pattern is a great gift for the knitter on your list. I knit a small triangle shawl from 1 ball and then knit a full size triangle shawl which took 4 balls. You could probably knit it out of 3 balls if you used a larger needle.  $15.00 a ball

I still have to get photos of display units, mannequins, large wire bins, shelves, cone trees, grid or wood cubes or grid back drops, and baskets in all sizes and shapes to name just a few things that need to move to a new home, not mine. These items would work well in a store, your craft room, and  craft show displays, which will be back when all this covid-19 madness is done.

Take care, play it safe, look after each other and of course keep knitting, crocheting, quilting, weaving, spinning, felting, whatever you do that makes you happy and keeps your creative juices flowing.
